Nissan has finally launched the updated BS6 model of its mid-size compact SUV, Nissan Kicks in the Indian market. The company has made some changes in terms of its pricing and engine. However, there is no major difference, except the 1.5 petrol engine has been updated to BS6 to meet the new emission norms. In addition, the company has discontinued its BS4 1.5-litre diesel engine. And introduced a new 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine. The Nissan Kicks 2020 Prices Starts from Rs. 9.50 lakhs and goes up to Rs 14.15 lakh ex-showroom.
It will now come in 8 Variants, Six Manual and Two CVT options. However, the 1.5-litre petrol engine will only be available in manual transmission while the 1.3 turbo will be available in both manual and CVT. The 1.5L engine generates 105bhp of power at 5600rpm and 142nm of torque at 4000rpm. On the Other hand, 1.3 Turbo produces 156bhp of power at 5600rpm and 254nm of torque at 4000rpm. On paper, this engine outperforms the Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta’s turbo petrol engines.
Nissan offers a standard warranty of 2 years or 50,000 km on kicks which customers can extend for 5 years or 1 lakh km.
The Nissan Kicks continues to offer features like 360 Degree Camera, 8-inch Infotainment System with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Cruise Control, Nissan Connect features etc. It competes with Mahindra Xuv 300, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos etc Mid Size SUVs in the Indian Market.
