HMD Global is planning to launch its new mid-range smartphone Nokia 5.3 in the Indian market. The smartphone was first launched in European markets in March 2020 at a price tag of 189 euros, translating to Rs 15,000. It will replace its predecessor Nokia 5.2 and compete with the Redmi Note 5, Poco M2 Pro, Realme 6i etc. devices in India.
According to leaks and rumours, the company plans to launch this smartphone in India along with some other devices in August. However, information on other devices is still not revealed. The highlight of the smartphone is the Snapdragon 665 processor, 13MP quad-camera setup, stock Android 10 and 4,000mAh battery.

The Nokia 5.3 also has a circular camera module on the rear that looks similar to the Nokia 6.2 and 7.2. It features the curved glass with curves at polycarbonate matte backwards. It will come with a 6.55-inch polarized display with a teardown notch at the top. The display will be an HD + display with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels. The fingerprint sensor will be placed at the back under the camera module.
As far as performance is concerned, it will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC coupled with an Adreno 610 GPU. For storage, it is likely to get 64GB of internal storage and up to 6GB of RAM. The device will also support micro SD card for storage expansion.
Talking about Camera. Nokia 5.3 Camera will e one of its Main highlights. It will get a Quad Camera setup a the rear. With a 13MP primary sensor, a 5MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP depth sensor, and another 2MP macro shooter. At the front, it will get an 8MP Selfie Camera for taking Selfies.
Apart from this, the device will pack 4,000 mAh battery which will also support fast charging. FOr Connectivity, it will include Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11, Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type-C port, GPS, GLONASS, 3.5mm Jack etc. Basic Connectivity features. The Smartphone may come with a price tag between Rs. 13,000 to Rs. 15000 in the Indian Market. It could come in three colour options Cyan, Sand, and Charcoal colours.
