Electric Motor and Battery Range
The BYD Seal comes in two electric motor versions. The Performance variant gets power through a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor which produces 523bhp of power and 670nm of torque. It boasts an AWD (all-wheel drive) powertrain. As per company data, it takes only 3.8 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100kmph speed. It is equipped with an 82.56 kWh lithium Ion battery and also has regenerative braking technology. It also comes with fast charging support and the company claims BYD Seal Performance Variant can be charged in just 26 minutes with a DC capacity of 150kW (from SOC 30% to 80%). The company offers 8 8-year warranty on its battery and motor (varies from country to country). It has 400L of boot space and also has an additional 53L of storage space in the front trunk with cover.

The BYD Seal comes with a list of safety features. It has secured a 5-star safety rating for both adult and child occupant protection in the Euro NCAP Crash Test. Seal has the iTAC (Intelligent Torque Adaptation Control) System by BYD, which protects the car from skidding and enables the driver to have better control of the car during slippery road conditions. It features a massive 15.6-inch Rotatable Infotainment System which can be rotated both vertically and horizontally.
