Honda Jazz has always been a favourite of enthusiasts and Honda brand lovers. This is Honda’s only hatchback in the Indian market. A few days ago, Honda posted a teaser of the new Honda Jazz 2020 BS6 on its official website and social media page. Now the company has shared a new teaser image of the car. However, it will be a Facelift version which will come with some cosmetic changes. The company is also planning to Launch Next-Generation City in the Indian market as well. It is expected that the company will launch both the cars soon after the lockdown is lifted.

Exterior
In terms of exterior, 2020 Jazz will feature updated headlamps with LED Day-Time Running Lights (DRLs), a new grille with chrome strips at the top and bottom. The round-shaped foglamps will be replaced by square shaped LED fog lamps and some other minor tweaks. However, there will be no change in its alloy wheels design.
Interior and Features
Talking about the interior and features. Honda will make some minor changes to its cabin. Also, the list of features is unlikely to change much as its previous model was already equipped with a lot of features. Which includes a 7-inch digipad touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Auto climate control, engine start/stop button, steering mounted control, cruise control, keyless entry etc.

Also, the Safety features include dual airbags, rear camera, reverse parking sensor, ABS with EBD, seat belt reminder, speed alert system and more. Therefore, we do not think the company will make any changes in the feature department. In addition, the new Jazz BS6 is expected to feature Honda Connect features like the Hyundai Blue Link.
Engine and Gearbox
Coming to the engine. The 2020 Honda Jazz will feature minor mechanical changes. It will come with the same 1.2L i-VTEC petrol engine that generates the power of 90bhp and 110nm of torque at 4,800rpm. On the other hand, the Diesel variant will get a 1.5-litre i-DTEC engine that will generate 100bhp of power and 200Nm of torque. Both engines will be upgraded to new BS6 emission norms. Honda claims the mileage of 18.7KMPl on petrol and 27.2KMPL on the diesel model.

As far as pricing is concerned, the Honda Jazz 2020 price is expected to be 10k to 15k higher than the previous model. It will compete with Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Upcoming Hyundai i20 2020, Tata Altroz etc premium hatchbacks in Indian Market.
