South Korean carmaker Hyundai is all set to launch its new electric SUV Hyundai Creta EV in the Indian market. Hyundai already has two electric cars in its portfolio in India, Kona and Ioniq 5. The Creta EV will compete with Maruti Suzuki’s upcoming Vitara EV, MG Windsor, Mahindra XEV B6 E and Tata Curvv Electric in India. Creta Electric will make its debut at Auto Expo 2025 under Bharat Mobility Expo on 17 January 2025.

Design
As per reports and on-road testing images, The Hyundai Creta Ev is likely to feature the same design as the regular Creat with some changes. It will have a new close-faced EV Design Front Grille, New front & rear Bumpers and aerodynamic 17-inch alloy wheels. It will have the same LED headlamps and DRLs design at the front and rear with some little cosmetic tweaks.
Interior
The recently leaked images reveal the Creta EV will have a new three-spoke steering wheel with a Hyundai’s Morse code four dot logo like other global models and India spec ioniq 5. It will come in grey and black dual-tone shade colour interiors. With a new central console with switches to control seat ventilation, drive modes and more. The Creta EV will have leatherette Seats with electric power adjustment.
Features
The Hyundai Creta Electric will come with a long list of features. The recent images show integrated infotainment and cluster screens similar to the ICE version. It will have ventilated seats, a Panoramic Sunroof, Android Auto- Apple Car Play, Wireless Charging, Connect Car features, Dual-zone automatic climate control and a 360-degree camera. It is likely to get the Vehicle to Load feature which allows users to use high-electric consumption devices or electric appliances through the car battery.
Motor, Battery and Range
The Hyundai Creta Electric Suv will have a single front-axle-mounted motor. The Motor is likely to produce 138 bhp of power and 255 Nm of torque. As per leaks and reports, it will have a 45-50 kWh battery pack which is capable of delivering up to 450 km range on a single charge.
Hyundai Creta EV Safety
The Hyundai Creta EV will be built on the K2 platform with some modifications. This platform is also available in Verna, which recently received a 5-star safety rating in the Global NCAP Safety Test. For safety, the Creta EV will feature ADAS Level 2, ABS with EBD, 6 airbags, hill start assist control, ESC, TPMS, and all-wheel disc brakes.

Hyundai Creta EV Launch Date and Price in India
Hyundai Creta EV will be launched at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 on 17 January. The company will begin production in the last week of 2024.
