Apple officially rolles out the first iOS 11 public beta 2 for compatible iPhones and iPads. The latest iOS 11 was introduced at the WWDC earlier this month. This public beta includes functional updates like Siri & Search customisation,AR-enabled Flyover, Multiple selections, Do Not Disturb mode and changes in photo editing as well.The iOS 11 update will be available on iPhone SE, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone ,iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 5s as well. It will also be available on iPod mini 2 onwards and iPod Touch and iPod 6th Gen. Those who are intrested in installing iOS 11 Beta, will have to sign up for a Developer Account with Apple ,at a price of $99/year. But, this public beta release is free for all who wants to try on a compatible iPhone or iPad.

iOS 11 Beta 2 update has received a lot of functional upgrades from Apple ,of which most significant ones are listed below.


1. AR-enabled Flyover View

This feature added to Apple Maps that will enable you to immerse in the world of Augmented Reality. It works by using the various sensors on your iPhone which will show you various angles and distances in Apple Maps application.


2. Multiple Selection, Drag and Drop Support

Another significant Feature of this update is the ability to select multiple items and dragging them to one destination, all at one time. Through this feature, you will be able select one item then you can keep pinching other items into that selected area and drag or drop all the items wherever you want.



3. Safari Updates

Safari will now supports ‘Tab options’ by long pressing on the address bar. Following options will be included in safari:

  1. Open new tab
  2. Open new private tab
  3. Close current tab
  4. Close all tabs

This is a very useful update which makes web browsing faster and browse to different webpages very easily. The second upgrade on Safari is the support of Landscape mode. now safari will also support Landscape interface as well.
