Reliance Jio has announced its Broadband Service named as Jio GigaFiber on July 5 with introducing cheap and attractive plans. Registration for this service is starting from August 15 onwards. The company is stepping into broadband service through GigaFiber Service. The company will also provide DTH connection services which are also included in Jio GigaFiber.

According to the news published in the Economic Times, JIo’s high-speed broadband service or Jio GigaFiber may get started in many cities of the country from November 7 onwards which is before Diwali. According to the Leaks and rumours , this service may be started in about 80 Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities including the country’s metro cities. For the Jio GigaFiber service, the user will have to pay minimum Rs 500 as the cheapest plan of Jio GigaFiber costs Rs. 500. The price of the monthly plan of Jio GigaFiber will be approximately half of the service provided by the cable operator.

Half Prices
The Jio GigaFibre services will cost you half the price of other cable operators. The company will start the service according to the interest and registration by the users. the cities will be selected first, where more people have registered for this service.
Currently, cable TV operators are charging 250 to 300 rupees per month for providing the services. But After subscribing to the Jio GigaFiber services consumer will get the services at half prices or more than 30 to 40 percent less than the current pricing.
Competition in the Market
With the Arrival of Jio Gigafibre in Broadband and DTH services , we are expecting big competition among the Broadband and DTH providers including JIO as well. Unlike the Telecom sector , the other service providers like Airtel ,vodafone has reduced their prices , the same is likely to be happen with DTH and Broadband sector. Whatever will be happen , the consumer will get the services in much lesser price as compare to today’s price.
