Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch its First Electric Car, the Suzuki E Vitara, in the Indian market in the first quarter of 2025. The company already showcased its eVX platform, specially designed for electric cars only, at the Auto Expo 2023. Now, at the 2025 Auto Expo 2025 under Bharat Mobility Expo, to be held between 17 January and 22 January in India, it is making its official debut. However, it will be officially launched in the middle of 2025. It will be sold through Maruti’s Premium Dealership network Nexa Showrooms.

Design
The E vitara will carry Suzuki’s signature design, which has rugged looks and simple styling. It will have sleek headlights with Y-shaped LED DRLs. At the front, it will have a muscular bumper design with fog lamps & contrasting skid plates, a Suzuki Logo at the centre and a closed Grille for better aerodynamics. This Suzuki Electric SUV will come with 19-inch black aero-design alloy wheels and black cladding. The rear door handles are now available at the C pillar in this Car. At the rear, it has a simple look with C-shaped connected LED tail lamps and black bumpers.
Interior
The Upcoming Suzuki Electric SUV will have upmarket and premium interiors compared to ICE versions. It will have a dual-tone black and tan interior with leatherette seats and soft-touch materials on the doors. E Vitara will feature an Integrated connected Infotainment system and instrument cluster. It will have horizontal shape AC vents like the Kia Sonet. As it is built on a new electric platform, it will have a flat floor as there is no transmission tunnel in the middle.
Features
The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara will be Maruti’s most feature-rich car in India. It will come with connected Screens, a 10.2-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a 10.1-inch Infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 360-degree camera, Ventilated Seats, Auto AC, an Electric Sunroof, a Wireless Charging Pad, and more. It will also have Connected Car Features to get Charging Updates, Vehicle information, remote vehicle tracking, and other features.
Motor, Battery and Range
The Suzuki e Vitara will come in two drivetrain configurations Front Wheel Drive (FWD) and All-wheel Drive (AWD) AllGrip-e System. Also, it will have three battery pack variant options to choose from. A 49 kWh 2WD Variant will produce 144 horsepower and 189 Nm of torque, 61 kWh 2WD Variant will produce 172 bhp of power and 189 Nm of torque. While the top of the line 61 kWh 4WD (AllGrip-e) Variant will produce a combined output of 181 bhp of power and 300nm of torque. As far as range is concerned, e Vitara will deliver Up to 400 km on a single charge for 49 kWh variants and up to 550 km range for the 61 kWh variants.
Suzuki e Vitara Electric SUV Safety
The e Vitara uses the EVX platform which is specially available for Electric cars. The platform is a joint venture between Daihatsu, Toyota, and Suzuki. For safety, the e Virata EV will feature ADAS Level 2, ABS with EBD, 6 airbags, hill start assist control, ESC, TPMS, and all-wheel disc brakes.

Suzuki e Vitara Electric SUV Launch Date and Price in India
Maruti Suzuki will showcase the production-ready version of the e Vitara at the Bharat Mobility Expo. The company will begin production of the car at the Motor Gujarat facility in March 2025. It is likely to launch in the second quarter of 2025. The full information will be available at the Auto Expo. The price of the Suzuki e Vitara may start from Rs 19.99 Lakhs (Ex-showroom) in India.
