Moto has recently launched its new mid-budget segment smartphone, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro 5G, in India. It comes with decent specifications and features at a competitive price point. Positioned to compete with devices like the iQoo 9 Pro, Nothing Phone 2a, and OnePlus 12R in the Indian smartphone market, the Edge 50 Pro starts at Rs 29,999 for the 8GB RAM variant. Key highlights of this smartphone include the 7 Gen 3 Mobile Platform Processor, the industry’s first 50W Wireless charging, along with 125W Turbo DC Charging (68W Charger Included in Box), and a Silicone Vegan Leather Finish With Metal Frame Design.
Display and Design
It comes with a 6.7-inch 1.5K Pantone Validated True Colour Curved pOLED SuperHD Display with a resolution of 2712 X 1220 Pixels. The display has a refresh rate of 144Hz and HDR10+ support. Motorola also claims the display is the World’s 1st True Color Pantone Validated display in any smartphone. For Security, it has an in-display fingerprint sensor as well. It features a Sandblasted aluminium frame and a dual-tone Silicone Vegan Leather for Blue and Black colour. Also comes in the World’s 1st Handmade design Light Pearl TPU finish which delivers a premium in-hand feel.
Performance
For performance, Edge 50 Pro is powered by an octa-core 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 gen 3 SoC coupled with Adreno 720 GPU. It comes with up to 12GB of RAM and UFS 2.2 256GB of Internal Storage. It runs Hello UI based on Android 14 and Moto claims to provide 3 Years of OS Upgrade and 4 Years of SMR updates on this smartphone.

For photography, it sports a triple camera setup at the rear. With a 50MP Primary with f/1.4 aperture, OIS, Omni-directional PDAF, a 13MP Ultrawide angle lens (120° FOV) Macro Vision with f/2.2 aperture and a 10MP telephoto Lens with Samsung sensor with 3x Optical Zoom, 30X Hybrid zoom, f/2.0 aperture. Battery and Connectivity
The device packs a 4,500mAh battery which also supports 125W turbo fast charging. Moto advertises 125W fast charging is capable of charging 100% in just 18 minutes. Additionally, the company is providing a 68W TurboPower Charger with the smartphone (for the 8GB+256GB variant). The Moto Edge 50 Pro also supports 50W Wireless Charging.
It also features dual stereo speakers tuned by Dolby Atmos and Spatial Sound by Motorola. Additionally, it boasts an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.

The Edge 50 Pro price in India starts at ₹29,999 for the 8GB RAM variant. Meanwhile, the top-of-the-line 12GB RAM/256GB storage variant with a 125W charger is priced at ₹33,999. It is available for purchase from Flipkart, the Motorola Online Store, and leading retail stores across the country.
