In fact, OLA ELECTRIC has acquired Dutch company ETERGO which was already making electric scooters. The Etergo AppScooter is a very popular vehicle in the European markets. This does not mean that this scooter will import.

The Ola E-Scooter will be a completely made in India product. Olaelectric will manufacture it at its 500-acre plant in Tamil Nadu. The company says that this plant can produce up to 10 million scooters every year. There are 3000+ robots with AI driving continuous optimization and 10 production lines that are capable of making scooters in just 2 seconds.

Up to 150Km Range and 100kmph+ Top Speed

According to leaks and rumours, the upcoming electric scooter from Ola is likely to offer a range of up to 150km on a full charge. If this turns out to be true, the Ola scooter will become the scooter with the most range in its segment. Because at present the Ather 450X, Bajaj Chetak and TVS iQube are the only popular e-scooters in this segment with a range of 75km to 95km.

The latest reports suggest that the Ola scooter will be able to accelerate from 0 to 45 kmph in 3.9 seconds and reach a maximum speed of over 100 kmph. With this speed, it will become the fastest e-scooter in the country. However, no information related to its powertrain and motor has been revealed yet.

Biggest boot space in its Segment

Ola Electric is claiming that their upcoming scooter will have the largest boot space in the segment. The new teaser released by the company shows that you can keep two full-size helmets in its boot space. The Etergo scooter comes with a swappable battery which gives you more boot space in that scooter. But the Scooter manufacturing in India is likely to have a fixed battery setup to give a better range. It is certain that it will have enough space to hold two helmets at once.

Ola Electric Scooter Colour Options, Variants

In the latest teaser, Ola Electric has shared different colour shades of its new scooter. Consumers will have the option to choose from 10 colours including white, black, grey, dark blue, dark grey, cyan, yellow, pink, beige and red. The colour scheme includes 3 pastels, 3 metallic and 3 matte colours.

The company has filed trademarks for the S, S1 and S1 Pro nameplates. These nameplates could be variants of the scooter. S could be the name of the lineup, the S1 is likely to be the base variant and the S1 Pro is likely to be the top of the line variant.

7-inch touchscreen

The Ola electric scooter will also come with a 7-inch touchscreen system. Using this system you will get connectivity of navigation, play music using Bluetooth, receive phone calls, check scooter stats and much more. We have already seen this feature in the Ather 450X which was the main reason for its success. Apart from this, it will also get a Park Assist feature for comfortable parking.

Ola is taking sustainable Mobility solutions further that’s it has ever been. With its new Hypercharge network which is going to be the worlds largest 2 wheeler charging network. The company aims to install 100,000+ Charging points in 400 major cities across the country. These charging points will be installed in public parking lots, office complexes, Colleges, malls and more. Initially, the company will install 5000 charging stations across 100 cities. Users will be able to charge their scooters up to 50 per cent in just 18 minutes through these charging points. Additionally, Buyers will also get a portable charger with the scooter and an option to install a charging point at their home as well.
