Xiaomi launched its new mid-range smartphone Redmi Note 9 at a global launch event held on Thursday. This device is a part of Redmi’s Note 9 series, which already has Redmi Note 9Pro. Note 9Pro Max and Note 9s. It is the regular version of the Note 9 series, which has lesser features than the Pro and S versions in the series. Like other smartphones in this series. The device also offers a punch-hole display. But in this device, the punch-hole camera module is placed at the top-left corner of the screen instead of top-centre, unlike other phones in series.
The main highlights of the device are Quad Rear Camera Setup, 5,020mAh Battery and Helio G85 Processor. Also, It is the first smartphone to be powered by the MediaTek’s latest 8nm Helio G85 processor. Apart from this company has also launched Mi Note 10 Lite at the event.

Starting with Design and Display. It gets a plastic back panel and comes in three colour options PolarWhite, Green, Polar and Midnight Gray colours. The body also has splash-resistant P2I nano-coating. The Note9 features a 6.53 inch of Punch-Hole Display with a resolution of 2340 X 1080 Pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The display also gets Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
As far as performance is concerned. vanilla Redmi Note 9 powered by MediaTek’s Helio G85 SoC coupled with Mali-G52 GPU. In terms of storage, it gets 3GB and 4GB RAM along with 64GB and 128GB internal storage options.

At the front, there is a 13MP Primary Camera with f/2.25 aperture for taking selfies.

Coming to the connectivity features. The device sports WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, GLONASS, Dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5, 3.5mm headphone jack and USB Type C port. Also, the device packs a 5,020mAh large battery which supports 18W fast charging.
Launch Date and Price in India
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 price starts at $199 (Rs. 14,700 approx.) for the 3GB+64GB version. Whereas 4GB+128GB variant costs $249 (Rs. 18,550 approx.). But its price in India will be lower than this. We can expect it to price between Rs 10,000 to Rs 11,500 in the Indian market. Its India launch is likely to take place in the month of May.
