After so many leaks and rumors, Apple has finally launched its new MacBook Air models with the latest and more powerful M4 chip. This chip was previously introduced in the MacBook Pro, Mac Mini, and iPad Pro, but many Apple fans were eagerly waiting for it to be available in the MacBook Air. The new Apple MacBook Air M4 2025 comes in two variants, i.e 13-inch and 15-inch variants. The Latest Air offers Apple Intelligence features with advanced macOS Sequoia and better performance at lower pricing than previous models. Apple has also introduced a new Sky Blue colour in the MacAir 2025. The pre-orders for the device have already started on 5th March. The 13-inch model starts at $999, while the 15-inch version is priced at $1,199. The all-new Macbook Air will be available for sale from March 12 onwards from Apple Official Stores.

Display and Design
Like its predecessor, the latest version also maintains its iconic sleek aluminum unibody design Sleek aluminum unibody design. This Time, Apple has given a bigger trackpad and a backlit Magic Keyboard for a premium typing experience. It will be available in four colour options – Blue, Silver, Starlight, and Midnight. It’s a very light laptop, weighing approximately 1.24 kg for the 13-inch variant and 1.5 kg for the 15-inch variant. Its ultra-thin and lightweight design makes it one of the best laptops for travel.
The new MacBook Air M4 sports a brilliant 13.6-inch and 15.3-inch Liquid Retina display sizes. The display comes with True Tone technology, P3 wide color gamut, and a resolution of up to 2560 x 1600 pixels. Also, the M4 MacAir supports up to two 6K external displays besides its built-in Liquid Retina display.
Performance
The Latest generation MacBook Air 2025 is powered by Apple’s latest 3nm M4 chip. The M4 chip features an 8-core CPU, a 10-core GPU, and an advanced 16-core Neural Engine. It is available with up to 32GB of unified memory and up to 2TB of SSD storage. It runs on macOS Sequoia 15.4. According to Apple, the M4 model is twice as fast as the M1 model and offers longer battery life compared to previous generations. Video editing with iMovie on M4 laptops is up to eight times faster than on Intel-based MacBooks.
The new MacBook Air M4 also introduces AI-driven features. It now includes built-in AI tools such as ChatGPT for writing and editing without the need to create an account. The Image Playground feature allows users to design custom emojis and genmojis, enhancing creative expression. Apple has also improved Siri for better understanding and more accurate results.
Battery and Other Features
The MacBook Air is equipped with a long-lasting battery that offers up to 18 hours of usage on a single charge. It supports fast charging through the MagSafe 3 connector as well. Apple also claims that the M4 processor dynamically adjusts power usage based on workload demands, which results in low power consumption and longer battery backup.
For connectivity, the laptop features Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, two Thunderbolt ports for external storage, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It also supports Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos and includes a three-microphone array for clearer audio and video calls.
The MacBook Air M4 is equipped with a new 12MP Center Stage camera, offering features such as frame lock, which automatically keeps users in the frame, and a Desk View feature that simultaneously displays the user and a top-down view of their desk.

Apple Macbook Air M4 Price and Availability
The 13-inch MacBook Air M4 is priced at $999, while the 15-inch variant is available for $1,199. Students can purchase the 13-inch model at a discounted price of $899 at education and offline stores. This time, Apple has priced the new MacBook Air M4 $100 lower than the previous M3 model.
In India, the 13-inch model starts at ₹99,900, while the 15-inch model is priced at ₹1,19,900. Apple is also offering an instant discount of ₹10,000 on purchases made with eligible credit cards, including ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, and American Express.
