Exterior
The new 2020 Elite i20 will get a completely new look. The company had already shared its exterior look in the global market. On the front, it features the Hyundai’s latest cascading grille with Honeycomb pattern, sharp design bumper with crease lines which will give a sporty look to it. The headlamp of the car will be smoother than before. It will also get an integrated day-time running lamp (DRL) in the headlamps. At the same time, it will also get vertical fog lamps like the 2020 Elantra.
Side designing will be sharper than the current model. It will get floating rooflines and sharp character lines that will go from the front fender of the car to the tail lamps. It will also get machine cut dual-tone alloy wheels.
At the rear, it will have a Z-shaped taillamp with LED light bar on the boot lid which will connect them together, also, the number plate will now be positioned on the bumper instead of the tailgate. It will have a design resembling the diffuser on the rear bumper.
i20 2020 Interior
Like the exterior, the interior of the new Hyundai Elite i20 2020 will also feature a completely new layout. The 2020 model will have a full black-themed interior instead of beige black. It will have a thin dashboard with a horizontal blade designing on it. The horizontal designing will also feature the car’s central and side AC vents. You will also get leather seats in the top of the Line Asta (o) Trim.
Also, the integrated touchscreen system will now be replaced with a floating infotainment system and its casing will be connected to the instrument cluster like the Grand i10 Nios and Aura. It will get a 4-spoke steering wheel which also comes in Hyundai Creta 2020.

Features
The 2020 i20 will be more features loaded than before. It will get New 8 inch infotainment system with Apple Car-Play Android Auto, semi-digital instrument cluster, wireless mobile charging, ambient lighting, Auto Climate Control, Rear AC Vents etc. It will also get multiple driving modes as well.
Like Venue, it will also have Blue Link Connected car technology through which you can do remote start / stop vehicles, Lock/Unlock doors, control AC and much more through the app. It will also feature Electric Sunroof, which will be available only in the top of the line Asta (o) Variant.
Hyundai i20 2020 BS6 Engine
The Hyundai Elite i20 2020 is expected to get three BS6-compliant engines. Two petrol and one diesel engine. It will get a 1.2-litre engine of the Grand i10 Nios which generates 83PS of power and 113Nm of torque. 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine, which generates 100PS of power and 173Nm of torque.
On the other hand, it is likely to get the Venue’s 1.5-litre diesel engine in a detuned state. Both petrol and diesel engines will get automatic options. The 1.2-litre petrol engine will get a 5-speed manual gearbox, the 1.5-diesel engine will get a 6-speed manual and automatic transmission. While the 1.0 turbo petrol engine expected to come with a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 7-speed DCT transmission. Also, there are leaks that i20 will also get iMT Transmission.

In terms of safety, i20 has always remained a benchmark in the premium hatchback segment. The next-Gen i20 will feature quite a lot of safety features. It could include Dual Front Airbags (Standard), ABS with EBD (Standard)Rear Parking Sensors, Rear Parking Camera, Speed Alert System, Auto-Dimming IRVMs, Front Passenger Seat Belt Reminder, Rear Defogger etc. On the other hand, the top variant will also get 6 Airbags.
2020 Hyundai Elite i20 Launch Date, Variants and Price in India
The current model i20 is priced from Rs 6.56 lakh to Rs 9.2 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The third generation i20 will cost more than the current model. We can expect the pricing for the base variant Elite i20 2020 from Rs. 6.75 Lakh to Rs. 7 lakhs Ex-Showroom. It is likely to come in four Variants Magna, Sportz, Asta and Asta (o).
