After so many leaks and rumours, Realme has finally launched its most awaited smartphone Realme X50 5G at an event in China today. This is the first 5G smartphone launched by the company. And offers great specifications and features. As we all know, Realme is known for its low pricing and X50 5G is not an exception. The company has also launched a premium version of the smartphone. Named as the Master Edition which offers better hardware and specifications.
The Realme X50 comes with a glossy finish on the rear which makes it a very good looking smartphone. We believe that it will attract the majority of buyers by its design. However, the company has not provided 3.5mm headphone jack in this smartphone, which will disappoint the people in India. As most of the people prefer 3.5mm headphone jack instead of Type-C connector.
Realme X50 Specifications and Features
Display
The Realme X50 5G comes with a 6.67-inch FHD+ display. Which is an IPS LCD Panel with Refresh rate of 120Hz and a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. This display is a punch-hole display with a dual front camera embedded in it at the Left upper Corner.
Performance
As far as performance is concerned, the Realme X50 is powered by the latest Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G Octa-Core Processor. Coupled with Adreno 620 GPU. It is a very powerful chipset with built-in 5G modem and dual 5G mode. The Premium Variant or Master Edition of the smartphone offers 8GB of RAM and 256GB of Internal Storage.
Camera
Coming to the Camera, The Camera of realme X50 5G is one of its main Highlight. It gets Quad camera Setup at the rear. With a 64MP primary camera, a 12MP telephoto lens, an 8MP wide lens and a 2MP Depth Sensor. At the Front, there is Dual Front camera Setup present under the Puch-Hole Display. With a 16MP primary camera and an 8MP wide-angle sensor.

Connectivity, Battery and UI
The Realme X50 5G Runs on ColorOS 7 based on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. In terms of Storage, it gets up to 256GB Internal Storage option and up to 8GB RAM. In terms of battery, it is powered by 4,100mAh non-removable battery which will also support 30W VOOC Fast Charging and Wireless Charging as well.
For Connectivity, it is equipped with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, USB Type-C, 4G and 3G with active 4G on both SIM cards with Indian Networks support, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS with GLONASS etc.
Realme X50 5G Price and Launch Date in India
Realme has launched X50 5G at a Starting price of 2499 Yuan (Rs 26,000 Approx.) for the Base model. And 256Gb Variant is priced at 2,999 Yuan (Rs 31,000). Whereas the Realme X50 5G Master Edtion with 8GB RAM is priced at 3,099 Yuan (Rs 32,000 Approx.). It will be available in two colour options Glacier white and Polar Blue. It will be available for sale from 14 January Onwards in China. As far as India launch is concerned, we can expect Realme X50 5G to launch in India anytime in the month of January or 1st Week of February.
