Update as on 15 July 2020: Xiaomi India has started teasing Redmi Note 9 in its Social Media Handles. The Smartphone is going o launch on 20 July in Indian Market with MediaTek’s latest Helio G85 8nm processor.

After launching Redmi Note 9Pro and Pro Max, Xiaomi is planning to launch the regular version Redmi Note 9 smartphone very soon. The smartphone has been leaking for a long time. In addition, the device has also been seen in TENAA and Chinese 3C certification websites.

Some specifications of the smartphone have been revealed in the TENAA certification list. The listing suggests that the device will come with a 6.53-inch punch-hole display with a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels, a 48MP primary sensor on a quad-camera setup, and a 13MP punch-hole camera.

Redmi Note 9 Expected Specifications and Features

The Smartphone is expected to come with a 6.53 inch of Punch-Hole Display with a resolution of 2340X1080 Pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9. As far as performance is concerned. The Redmi Note 9 is likely to power by MediaTek’s Helio G80 SoC coupled with Mali-G52 GPU.

In terms of storage. It is likely to come in three storage variants. 3GB RAM + 32GB internal memory, 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB internal storage. A microSD card slot will also be available in the device for storage expansion.

Heading towards the Camera. The Camera of Redmi Note 9 will be one of its main highlights. It will get quad-camera setup at the Rear. With a 48MP Primary Camera. An 8MP Ultra-Wide sensor, a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor. Apart from this, there will be a 13MP Primary Camera at the front for taking selfies.

Coming to the connectivity features. The device will sport WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, GLONASS, Dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5, 3.5mm headphone jack and USB Type C port. Also, the device is listed with a 4,920mAh battery which will support 18W fast charging.

Price and Launch Date in India

After its global launch, Mi India will launch the device in the Indian market. However, the smartphone is expected to be launched in India in the month of May 2020. As far as the price is concerned, the price of Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is likely to be lower than the Pro variant starting at Rs 12,999 in India. However, we can expect the price of the base variant 32GB + 3GB RAM storage around the RS. 9,999 to Rs. 10,999. The smartphone will directly compete with Upcoming Realme Narzo 10 Series in Indian Market.
