JSW MG India recently showcased its new SUV, the MG Majestor, at the Auto Expo Motor Show 2025, held under the Bharat Mobility Global Expo. Earlier, there were rumours that the company would launch a facelifted version of the Gloster. However, MG has revealed the Majestor as a completely new product, which is positioned above the Gloster and offers a more premium experience. This all-new SUV will compete with the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian, and BMW X1 in the Indian market. MG Majestor will be available only through the company’s premium MG Select dealerships, making it more premium than the Gloster.

Design
In real life, the all-new MG Majestor looks like a bold and bulky SUV. At the front, it gets a large, intricately designed front grille in Gloss Black with chrome inserts, a bold, tall bonnet line, and a thick skid plate at the bottom, giving it a premium and massive look. It comes with ultra-slim matrix LED headlights with dynamic DRLs and two slim, vertically mounted DRLs in the grille.
The side profile features 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, sharp body creases leading to the quarter panel, bold wheel arches, and body cladding, emphasizing its strong road presence. The rear design is similar to the Gloster, with connected LED tail lamps and the large Morris Garages emblem placed below the rear glass lining. Interior
The MG Majestor is already available as the Maxus D90 Pro in global markets. The India-spec SUV will feature a similar interior layout to the D90 Pro, with some minor cosmetic changes. It will have a horizontally flaring IP dashboard design with soft-touch materials and stitched leather accents, giving it a more premium and spacious cabin feel. The Majestor will be a 7-seater SUV, featuring luxury leather seats with diamond-shaped patterns. The interior will have Black-Tan or Black-Burgundy color schemes depending on the variants. It will also feature a multifunction flat-bottom steering wheel and a massive electric panoramic sunroof.
MG Majestor Features
Like other MG models, the Majestor will also come with a long list of features. For comfort, it will have electrically adjustable ventilated seats with cooling and heating functions, along with a massage feature. This D+ segment SUV will also feature a large 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Additionally, it will come with a heads-up display, and a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster with navigation and ADAS controls integration.
It will also offer a premium surround sound system from Infinity or JBL. For a vehicle of this size and weight, the Majestor will include a gesture-controlled electric tailgate for easy loading and unloading of luggage. Other features include a 360-degree camera, Tri-zone climate control, and i-SMART-connected tech.
Engine
The MG Majestor will be launched with a diesel engine option only. It will be powered by a 2.0L twin-turbocharged diesel engine that complies with BS6 Phase 2 emission norms. This engine will produce 215 hp of power and 500 Nm of torque. It will come in 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission only and will be available in 2WD and AWD configurations. The Majestor will feature sand, mud, snow, rock, and off-road terrain management modes. It will also come equipped with an electronically adjustable adaptive suspension system for different driving conditions.

Safety
The MG Majestor will come with a host of safety features, including Level 2 ADAS, 6-8 airbags, ESP, hill-hold control, hill descent control, TPMS, and a 360-degree camera. MG develops the Majestor using a high-strength body structure. It has achieved a 5-star Australian ANCAP rating, showing its top-notch safety standards.
MG Majestor Price, Variants, and Launch Date in India
At the Auto Expo 2025, JSW MG India officials confirmed that the MG Majestor and MG M9 will be the company’s first launches in India for 2025. According to some leaks and rumours, the MG Majestor is expected to be launched between April to July 2025. The Majestor, being a D+ segment SUV, will sit above the Gloster and will be priced more premium. The expected price range for the MG Majestor is between ₹50 lakhs to ₹55 lakhs in India. It will compete with the Toyota Fortuner Legender in India.
