Samsung has launched its new midrange Galaxy A16 5G smartphone globally under its A series. The smartphone comes with decent specifications and features at a good price point. Its main highlights include a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, a 50MP primary and a 5,000mAh battery. Another big highlight of this smartphone is that Samsung promises to provide 6 years of OS and security patch updates on this smartphone.

Coming to the Specs. Samsung Galaxy A16 5G sports a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Display with a 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution and 800 nits brightness. The Display comes with a refresh rate of 90Hz and an IP54 Rating for protection.

Under the hood, it is powered by the 6nm Mediatek Dimensity 6300 r coupled with Arm Mali G57 MC2 GPU. The processor is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and UFS 4.0 Storage with up to 256GB. The smartphone runs on OneUI 6.1 based on Android 14. The company claims this device will get 6 years of OS and Security updates.

For photography, It comes with a triple Camera Setup at the rear. With a 50MP AI primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 5MP ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP macro camera with f/2.4 aperture. At the front, it has a 13MP Primary Camera with f/2.0 aperture for taking selfies.

The Galaxy A16 5G packs a 5,000 mAh Battery which also supports 25W Fast charging. It also supports Samsung’s AI features to optimize battery usage by learning user usage patterns.

The A16 5G starts at Rs 18,999 for the 128GB storage variant, while the 256GB storage variant is priced at Rs 21.999. It comes in three colour options: Blue Black, Gold and Light Green). It is already available for sale through Samsung stores, online e-commerce platforms, and offline retail stores.
